A second-generation real estate developer and hospitality investor, Al Karmali brings more than 25 years of experience in real estate development, construction, and operations throughout the Dallas–Fort Worth metroplex and the broader Southeast.

Based in Southlake, Texas, Al has been part of the regional real estate community since 1978, when his family entered the hotel industry. A graduate of the University of Texas at Arlington with a degree in Finance, he has devoted his career to real estate investment and development across multiple asset classes.

Renowned as a strategic deal-maker and visionary, Al excels in assembling complex capital stacks, structuring transactions, and guiding developments from concept through completion. His expertise spans capital markets, construction oversight, and asset management, supported by an experienced management team ensuring executional excellence. 

While his primary focus remains on the Dallas–Fort Worth market, Al continues to expand the platform’s footprint across Texas and the Southeast, driving disciplined growth through thoughtful design, financial precision, and enduring partnerships. Al currently operates as President & CEO of DFW Hospitality Group, LLC, Texas Energy, Inc., Sterling Global Resources / Sterling Equity Partners, Alyah Holdings, Inc., and Karmali Holdings, Inc. as well as Managing Partner of JV Hospitality Group.
